During the Identity Design Awards 2025 , HMA Living by Al Shamsi unveiled its first official Art Collection, marking a pivotal moment in the brand’s new creative chapter defined by its payoff: “When Homes Become Art.” This vision merges architecture, light, and emotion into a holistic interpretation of living where spaces become expressive, sensorial, and deeply human.
At the heart of this inaugural launch stood a powerful, site-specific performance by Italian artist
Andrea Sampaolo, known for his emotionally charged action-painting rituals. Inside a pristine
white box conceived as a metaphor for untouched identity, Sampaolo transformed a blank canvas
and two iconic white Qeeboo Rabbit Chairs into vibrant emotional landscapes.
For 45 minutes, the artist moved in synchrony with a bespoke soundtrack composed by Roman DJ
Peter Blackfish, while guests listened through wireless headphones, experiencing an intimate,
almost meditative dialogue between sound, color, rhythm, and gesture. The performance unfolded
as a live creation of identity, an expressive journey from stillness to chromatic vitality, mirroring
HMA’s broader mission to infuse living spaces with meaning and emotional resonance. In a final
symbolic gesture, the two painted Rabbit Chairs, now transformed into unique artworks, were
raffled among participants, turning the event into a collective artistic memory shared by the entire
community.
This performance forms the first chapter in HMA’s evolving commitment to integrate art, design,
and holistic experience across its spaces, showrooms, and cultural initiatives
